Thanks Vicky....I really enjoyed taking part this year - and reading the other votes and comments was good fun. After getting the sammy category back on the new board this year it would seem a shame if this year was the last....especially with the 60th anniversary storyline...rightly or wrongly it's bound to provide debate for next years voting! Ten years is a long time though...I'll understand if you've had enough!

Well done Vicky, Thank you so much. I enjoyed reading the results. Perhaps if you broach the idea of the Sammys later in the year you can then decide whether or not to continue. It is such a shame that we have lost so many friends since this new board was introduced.

A good idea, Denny. To broach the idea of the Sammys later in the year to see if they should continue or not.

Thank you for the positive comments. It's not that the Sammys are any trouble or that I'm fed up - I like doing them, but I hate having to chivvy people to vote and perhaps have them thinking...oh, not the Sammys again! It's been suggested to me that this year hasn't been typical, so perhaps the number who voted wasn't that bad. Anyway, they're only a bit of fun!

Please keep the Sammys going Vicky - I think the new website and navigation problems and the awful current storylines have probably put some people off. We must have Sammys for the year when we are shaken to the core (still waiting!)
Interesting that Kathy came out as the most changed character, I seem to remember her being a moany pain when she was married to Sid!

I'd like the Sammy's to continue and I predict that once all the furore has died down re. the 60th anniversary episode, and listeners are listening again with the same pleasure as before (surely this will happen) we will want to vote again. I certainly want to vote re. 2011---Nigel's death being the worst story line, but, as I said before, a radio 'Oscar' to Graham Seed for playing Nigel's last scene plus scream so well. I'm still screaming too!
