Unsavoury episode? Because Mike and Vicky are expecting a baby who happens to have Downs Syndrome? What a horrible and extremely offensive comment! How on earth is it 'unsavoury'? Presumably, Mr Brady, you woud prefer it if all babies with a learning difficulty or disability were neatly dispatched at birth.

I am sorry to see that the Paralympics didn't encourage YOU to view disability in a positive light. Sad!

I certainly hope the script writers do not 'do away' with this child.

Near to where I live there is a village which is habited and run by people with down's and other conditions like cerebal palsy - conditions which make life in the 'real world' difficult but with help and some adaptations they have a good life contributing to the local economy.

I often visit the village where there are shops, cafe's etc and always thoroughly enjoy my visit and value what these people do. They are normal people to me, they happen to have down's or something else, just like I happen to have a heart defect. None of us is perfect and Mike and Vicky's child will be, I'm sure, a valued member of the cast as she grows up and offer a unique contribution to life in Ambridge.

I have a 2 year old Grandaughter with Downs and she is adorable the thought that 90% of downs babys are aborted makes me feel sick they are the most loveing children, I wouldn't swap my little one for the world.I find the above comment by mumu very offensive

I would just like to say what fantastic acting the actors who play Mike and Vicky have been doing since Vicky first discovered she was pregnant. Also well done to the archers script writers for such a moving story line.
