  I guess like Vicky says on another thread we can all see where this is going.
  
  Ugh... it seems a bit icky to me. A tad tacky. A bit yukky and grubby.
  
  Oh, unsavoury! that's the word.
  
  I was hoping that Kenton would find someone fresh and wonderful not a blousy floozie like Jolene.
  
  I actually feel sick at the thought of the two together.
  
  Is it just me?

  It just seems lazy writing to me.
  
  Ok, I can accept that Kenton is kind and, because of his guilt over Jamie, he may think that getting involved in The Bull is a way of making up for this.
  
  I can go along with the fact that both he and Jolene are grieving and that is a bond of sorts.
  
  I can even see that they both long for warmth and cuddles and perhaps more.
  
  However, I can't accept that Kenton can leave Jaxx for hours on end - days and evenings - and arrange leaflets, menus and even cook for The Bull! This is totally ridiculous and belief-defying.

  I have to agree! I've already voted for this as one of the worst storylines in the Sammies and now this year it seems to be getting worse! Isn't this the same Kenton Archer who a few short weeks ago was having a one night stand with Holly? and boasting to dear Nigel about how fabulous it all was. Care free, fun loving, wonderfully irresponsible Kenton Archer....who is now going to get all serious and meaningful with miserable old Jolene. I do hope not! Px

  I am astounded by the mysogyny expressed in these emails. Given how Kathy had been relating to Kenton at that time, I am sure I would have landed in the arms of another for comfort. And now listeners are regarding Jolene as some sort of faded, dirty character. She must be about Kenton's age, and her charms are legendary. And she is warm hearted and earthy. I like her and I am only a woman! What is wrong with sex for God's sake?

  I wasn't complaining about Kenton and Jolene having a relationship...more that it's unbelievable how he can now find the time and inclination to leave Jaxx to the devices of whoever is running it in his absence. Is Kirsty still there? We don't seem to hear how his own business is going. It's completely silly that he's devoting all this time to The Bull.
  
  But...I still do think it's a bit much that he would even think of wooing Sid's widow when he's just split with his ex-wife.

  Absolutely nothing!!! (As long as it's not in the shower!) It will be all the guilt ridden emotional trauma afterwards that will be awful! Jolene because she'll feel she's betrayed Sid and Kenton because he's been at it with his....(effectively) step sons stepmother!!! Please! Px

  For me I still recall Jolene when she was luring the punters into The Bull with the sexy voice and the leaving nothing to the imagination chest.
  
  I haven't forgiven her for being instrumental in Sid and Kathy's split. In my book she's a harlot and not good enough for my Kenton!

  I still see Kathy as a newcomer in the village. She wasn't the right person for Sid at all.
  
  And she should certainly should never have touched Kenton. She had nothing in common with him at all.
  
  I'm pleased they've gone their separate ways.
  
  I wanted Kenton to have been the one that helped Elizabeth at Lowley Loxley not David; and I'm cross that he's been thrown towards Jolene's mantrap.

  It was lovely hearing Kenton and Elizabeth in the Sunday episode. This is the Kenton I love. I was pleased to that Lizzie is being nice to him.
  
  The character I don't like is that floozie Jolene who...hears that my beloved Kenton is coming to The Bull and says she's off to put some "slap on her face" ...UGH!
  
  And then leaves sweet darling Kenton to do the washing up while she nips out for a "fag" ...UGH!
  
  If she puts one finger on him it's going to be rolling pins at dawn!

  Oh, dear, the Archers really don't like the idea of having Jolene in the family do they? (well perhaps Elizabeth was ok)
  I am afraid that the Archers ARE snobs. As for worrying about Kathy's feelings - well they should know that she really DROVE Kenton away.

  I don't find it strange that Kenton and Jolene should get together. I was more surprised by Kenton-and-Kathy.
  
  Kathy's a real pain! Righteous, virtuous, conventional, prohibitive, and a most exasperating mother for a teenage boy!
  
  Not withstanding the class divide, Kenton and Jolene seem rather suitable - both affectionate, spontaneous and demonstrative.
  
  If Kathy had been surprised with a ticket for a trip to Monte Carlo... imagine! The whiny reproachful voice would have got going... "But what about Jaaa-aaa-mie? I can't take time off from the Golf Club! Oh honestly Kenton you are ho-o-opeless. Don't you ever think.....?"
  
  No! Let love be unleashed! Let the Archer family sniff in disapproval!

  Can't see the problem with Jolene - she is warm. sexy, funny and goodhearted. I was very disappointed in Jill. Jolene will do the Archer family the world of good.

  How did Jolene 'steal' Kenton? I didn't hear Kathy singing 'Jolene. Jolene, Joleee-ene' did you? And as for 'sweet, darling Kenton', he presumably has a mind of his own.

  It's the implausibilty of it all...a few weeks ago Jolene was in the pits of despair and Kenton was having one night stands. Now he's whisking her away to Monte Carlo...and she is "ready" to move things on. They both have "minds" of their own I'm sure - but those minds may have made Jolene stop and think what she was doing to Jamie and Kenton about what he was doing to his mother.
  
  Sniff away in disaproval Mrs Archer ...I don't disapprove of much in TA but I'm with you on this one!!!

  I'm trying to remember the first class-clash union in the Archers. I think it was Christine and gamekeeper George Barford. A fair bit of sniffing went on then ISTR? Then recently Alice and Christopher ("related to a HORROBIN!!!") but much less sniffing - even Peggy approved!
  
  Will Kenton stop to think about what he is doing to his mother? I expect she'll let him know! *laughing*

  Quite! I don't think Mr and Mrs Archer were terribly impressed with David marrying the farm student at the time either - and look how that turned out!!! It's absolutely not their "class" differenece I find hard - it's the step mother/ step father thing!! And Jamie may have been listening to Jolene - but we all know he's going to ignore her just like he has Kathy...otherwise the Ambridge Extra story line will be very short!

  You may be right. But I felt that Jolene robustly laying down the House Rules might just be what Jamie might respond to; as opposed to the sobbings, beggings and pleadings of Kathy!
