Lilian takes some chocolates from Ambridge Organics to cheer up an increasingly impatient James. He has a growing list of chores for her to do in advance of his release from hospital. Lilian agrees to his bewildering array of demands, including retrieving items from the car pound and collecting belongings from his flat. Alarmed at the thought of James discharging himself, Lilian leaves him with a promise to return in the morning with his shaver and clean pyjamas. In the corridor, she’s surprised by a phone call from Paul. Guiltily, Lilian apologises for not being in touch. She assures Paul that James is fine, and promises to call back once she’s in her car.
Fallon’s nervous about her interview at Jaxx. Kenton gives her some tips and says she’s the perfect candidate. He’s sure Fallon’s creativity and energy will give her the edge over Naomi. Kirsty reassures Fallon that her nerves will vanish once she gets in to the interview, and she’d be a dream to work for, unlike bossy Naomi. Fallon’s still not convinced, and when she emerges from the interview she’s even less sure. Fallon admits she thinks it went okay, but she’s worried by Don’s inscrutable and unsmiling expression throughout. She’ll find out tomorrow morning, one way or another.
