Amy is using the shower at Chris and Alice’s. Chris impatiently bangs on the door and tells Amy to hurry up; she’s been in there a long time and he needs to use the bathroom before work. Mortified at her husband’s behaviour, Alice reveals she told Amy that she could live with them for a while.
Later, Chris learns that Alice is neglecting her work to take care of Amy. He’s worried about Alice getting too involved in helping Amy get over Carl.
Having been called into Matt’s office, Darrell believes he is going to be made redundant. His dismay turns to delight when Matt reveals he wants to promote him to site manager on a current job. Matt says he is impressed with Darrell’s work.
Preparations are underway for Open Farm Sunday. Pip is slightly annoyed to learn that Josh is creating his own photo display, rather than reusing the one she made a few years ago. Later, Pip says that Josh is happy they are going ahead with the event and showing the bullies that they can’t win. Ruth is also glad they didn’t cancel, and David thinks it will be a day to remember.
