Pat pulls no punches as she tells Brian how she feels about the mega-dairy. She’s insulted when Brian insists there’ll still be room for her kind of ‘niche’ farming. Their discussion gets heated.
Later on, Brian’s pleased to see Borchester Land’s new website finally up and running. Jennifer agrees it looks good. She’s disappointed to hear about Brian’s spat with Pat, reminding Brian that they’d agreed to try and build bridges. Brian insists he tried, but to no avail.
Adam tells David that things are still not good with Brian. The fact Adam’s opinion was aired on Radio Borsetshire has done little to help the situation.
David praises Pip for her presentation at the Hassett Hills meeting. She’s got an idea for Brookfield too. Tom’s products are on the up and he’s clearly good with marketing, so Pip thinks they should team up to produce lamb burgers and sausages. She’s sure Brookfield can come back just as strong as Bridge Farm. David thinks her ideas are great, but they haven’t got the money to develop a new product at the moment. Pip knows this, but insists they’d make the money back, plus a profit. She points out they’re never going to recoup the money spent on the slurry tank: £22,000 to stay in the same place, it just doesn't make sense.
