Kenton is packing up his belongings – mainly books – ready to move in with Jolene. He tells Elizabeth that Jolene is for keeps. Jill calls in at Lower Loxley and Elizabeth takes her out for a birthday lunch. Elizabeth confides in her mother about how lonely she is feeling. The children are so busy with school and their new friends that they’re hardly ever around now. She and Jill discuss their lost loves and wonder how Jolene could move on so soon after losing Sid. Elizabeth doesn’t think she’ll ever be able to love again. Jill wonders how long Kenton and Jolene’s relationship will last…

Jolene looks through Kenton’s book and comic collection. She doesn’t know where it’s all going to go, but she’s waited a long time to have Kenton under her roof and tells him he’s a great guy. As they kiss, Kenton really feels like he’s come home.
