Phoebe tells Peggy that she wants to go back to South Africa as soon as she can. Ted arrives to pick up Peggy, taking her to see his studio. They chat comfortably and Peggy shares her concern that Phoebe’s holiday in South Africa has taken over her life. Later on, when Jill picks up Peggy from Ted’s house, Peggy says that Ted’s invited her round again to try enamelling for herself.
Phoebe mentions to Kate that her new friend, Mandisa, wants Phoebe to go and live in South Africa. Kate suggests that Phoebe could go back for a few months. Phoebe’s delighted and wants to know when. Kate says she can’t make any promises and asks Phoebe to let her think about it.
Nic gets nervous when Will suggests they should have another chat about having a baby. She suddenly realises that she forgot to buy milk, so has to go back to the shop. Jill’s behind the counter and they discuss parish council plans for Ambridge. Jill is pleased when Nic favours her proposal to enter Britain in Bloom over Lilian’s plan to clear up the verges.
Later on, Will gets home from work very tired. He tells Nic that he’s going to ask Emma if George can stay over more often. Nic’s pleased for him to spend more time with George and assures him it’s fine with her.
