Ruth is encouraged by David’s positive mood; he’s feeling better now that the yields are beginning to settle. Ruth mentions how worried she’s been and says she’s pleased he’s feeling a little better. As they do the milking together, David admits he thinks he’s turned a corner. David thanks Ruth for supporting him over the last few months, acknowledging his absence from Brookfield must have been really tough for her and the kids. Ruth is supportive, affirming he did the right thing.
Clarrie is worried about Nic who she was very quiet at her birthday meal. She broaches her concerns with Nic, who confesses that Will has declared he wants another baby. Nic loves working at The Bull and, as they’ve got a lovely little family already, she’s reluctant to spoil it all. Clarrie understands and suggests Nic should tell Will how she really feels. Later on, when Clarrie chats with Eddie, he sympathises with Will. Eddie suspects Will is worried he might see even less of George once Emma has more time. When Clarrie tells him it’s none of their business, Eddie says he’s not so sure about that.
