As Pip prepares the lambs for the Borsetshire Show, she tries to talk to David about the farm. He isn’t very receptive. Later on, Pip tells Spencer that she really wants to make the business work more efficiently. Spencer reminds Pip that, once she gets to university, there’ll be more to her world than Brookfield; Pip may want to keep her options open.

Spotting Jamie, Pip wants to make sure he’s okay. Jamie asks after Steve, but apparently Spencer hasn’t seen him much. It looks as though Steve is hiding away in his room hoping that the whole situation will magically disappear. Spencer’s worried that Steve’s behaviour is affecting his parents; they feel responsible that their son got into such trouble.

Jamie’s concerned about giving evidence in court on Friday, especially after talking to Marty who is very angry. Kathy reassures him he’s done the right thing, and Natalie agrees.

As they enjoy the sunshine, Jamie reminisces about his dad and tells Natalie he wants to make his dad proud of him. Natalie urges Jamie to come into the sixth form with her. Once the court business blows over, he can move forward with his life.
