Tasters 29th May - 3rd June 2011
While the cricket season gets going with play between showers, Ambridge warms up for that key annual event, the Single Wicket…
Having been bowled over by the news of Elizabeth and David’s row, Jill is stumped as to what to do. Kenton and Shula attempt to field their mum’s concerns, as Elizabeth continues to dig her heels in. Short of calling for an umpire, the family’s hands are tied. Caught on the back foot, David is most definitely batting on a sticky wicket!
Fair game
Jazzer tries to make a good catch, but will the lovely Zofia fall for his charms? Whatever she decides, he thinks she’s fair game. Harry tries to block his attempt and, if he gets his way, Jazer will be out for a duck in no time. It looks as though another match is in the offing - let’s hope the boys play fair. Meanwhile, Kate winds up Hayley (again), who thinks her behaviour is just not cricket! But could Roy be won over? Strap on your pads and take your guard… It’s The Archers!
Tune in on Monday as the villagers battle it out to become this year’s champion of the Single Wicket…
Sunday: Elizabeth changes her mind
Monday: Jazzer’s put to the test
Tuesday: Brian gets down to business
Wednesday: Roy rallies round
Thursday: Adam’s ambitious

Tasters 22nd-27th May 2011
David is an early bird this week as he distracts himself with work. With the weight of the world on his shoulders, he wishes he could spread his wings and fly away...
Feathers are flying at Lower Loxley where Elizabeth is busy brooding on her row with David. Like an eagle in a dovecote, she has certainly ruffled some feathers. Ruth turns to the Archer family for support, but the cat is most definitely among the pigeons and does not want to be caged; if it was up to Elizabeth, David would be tarred and feathered by now!
Hen-pecked
A little bird tells Elizabeth about Roy’s plans to save the falconry at Lower Loxley. He’s caught on the spot, but it could prove to be a feather in his cap…
Meanwhile, watching like a hawk, an eagle-eyed Lynda spots a young peregrine chick. She tries to hook Jamie’s interest but Jamie’s feeling too hen-pecked to care. Having already flown the nest to get away from Kathy, he wonders whether he’s simply swapped one moaning mum for another...
Elsewhere, birds of a feather flock together for the Book Club, and the only kind of ‘chick’ Jazzer cares about is a Polish picker from Home Farm. Well knock me down with a feather… It’s The Archers!
Listen out for the next Book Club meeting on Wednesday and a showdown with Shula on Friday…
Sunday: Susan spreads the word
Monday: Jamie’s hard work
Tuesday: Elizabeth explains
Wednesday: Kenton can’t help
Thursday: Roy to the rescue
Friday: Jennifer takes her pick
Free as a bird: Oliver
Bird brained: Jazzer

Tasters 14-19th May 2011
While some Ambridge folks take life at a sensible pace this week, others just can’t get out of the fast lane, so belt up and put your foot down!...
With business improving at The Bull, Jolene takes some time out for a pit stop and feels all the better for it. She misses her cigarettes, but with Kenton in the driving seat she’s fuelled by affection and keeping a steady course.
Over at Lower Loxley, things have gained momentum with Roy at the wheel. Meanwhile, with one man down, Caroline can’t go fast enough to keep Grey Gables on track. Oliver accuses her of having a one-track mind and hopes Caroline isn’t heading for a crash…
Back on track
At Brookfield, David struggles to drive back his demons before he’s driven to distraction. It’s been a long journey, but he finally feels he may have turned a corner. However, he won’t stop to refuel, and Ruth’s concerned he may have lost his way. Could there be more bumps in the road ahead?
Elsewhere, speed demon Will is racing ahead; Nic gets busy with the breaks; Kathy keeps Jamie on the straight and narrow and Phoebe can’t wait to hit the road. So let’s get the show on the road… It’s The Archers!
While Peggy potters on Tuesday, David’s on a collision course on Thursday… sparks may fly!
Sunday: Nic says no
Monday: Hayley’s in a huff
Tuesday: Roy is resolute
Wednesday: Caroline fights chaos
Thursday: David discloses all
Friday: Ruth rallies round
In the fast lane: Caroline, Roy, Will, Phoebe
Taking it slow: Peggy, Jolene

Tasters 8-13th May 2011
With the odd black sheep and some pretty serious squabbles aside, family lies at the heart of Ambridge life…
The Grundys gather together for Clarrie’s birthday and she enjoys having little George around. Will’s still keen on expanding the family, but will Nic concur? Meanwhile, Ed’s already worried about sibling rivalry affecting the next generation – is that the Grundy legacy? Since Keira came along, George isn’t sure whether Casa Nueva is better than Keeper’s Cottage, or which dad he prefers … mind you, it is all relative!
Kith and Kin
While Ed and Will contemplate the perils and perks of fatherhood respectively, Brian and Jennifer consider improving Ruairi’s prospects. As a descendant of Home Farm, it’s important Ruairi makes his father proud. Meanwhile, Roy gets to grips with weddings at Lower Loxley, Elizabeth struggles to hold the family together, Ruth plays the good wife and Kathy thinks she may have turned a corner with Jamie. It’s a family affair… It’s The Archers!
Don’t miss a special family occasion on Thursday as the Grundy folks gather for Clarrie’s birthday…
Sunday: Will makes plans
Monday: David rolls up his sleeves
Tuesday: Nic’s caught in the middle
Wednesday: Brian gets involved
Thursday: Elizabeth lets go
Friday: Clarrie is concerned
Domestic bliss: James & Leonie?
Family feud: Will & Ed

Tasters 1-6th May 2011
There are new beginnings in Ambridge this week but, for some, old habits die hard…
It’s goodbye Roy as he turns over a new leaf. He’s an old head on young shoulders and Elizabeth can’t wait to welcome him to Lower Loxley. Roy’s colleagues, however, are sad to see him go, and is that a hint of bitterness behind Caroline’s warm smile? Roy will certainly be sorely missed, not least by Oliver who is unimpressed by Caroline’s ‘homework’! Will workaholic Caroline get into her old groove, or will she need some new blood to keep the place ticking? Only time will tell…
As good as new
There’s a new kid on the block at Brookfield. Ruth and David are thrilled to discover he’s nothing like the old one and hope for a fresh start for Pip. Meanwhile, inspired by the excitements of her trip, Phoebe has itchy feet. Bored of life in Ambridge, Phoebe looks towards pastures new, and boy does she like what she sees. As tough as old boots, Peggy gets a new lease of life as she embarks on a new experience. It just goes to show you are never too old to learn, and ‘old school’ doesn’t necessarily mean stuck in your ways. Now turn on your radio for old time’s sake… It’s time for The Archers!
Meet someone special at Brookfield on Thursday and tune in to the farewell bash on Friday…
Sunday: Reparation
Monday: Recuperation
Tuesday: Retaliation
Wednesday: Respite
Thursday: Relief
Friday: Reflection
Old school: Oliver
New blood: Roy, Spencer
