Tasters 27th March - 1st April 2011

Our favourite villagers seem in a hurry this week, so pick up the pace or you might get left behind!...

Kenton wants to speed things up and Jolene gives him the green light. Will life in the fast lane test their relationship or suit them down to the ground? Meanwhile, Kathy’s getting nowhere fast with Jamie. Fallon wants to take things slowly, Jamie’s holding up a stop sign, while Kathy’s fast and furious and picking up speed…

Fast and loose

Joe and Eddie attempt to pull a typical Grundy fast one this week. We know Eddie can be a fast talker, but he’d better be a fast runner if Clarrie catches him at it! Meanwhile, Phoebe’s dragging her feet over her trip to South Africa, but Vicky soon puts a spring back in her step.

Keen to make up for lost time, Elizabeth gets up to speed with work at Lower Loxley. She ignores Jill’s advice to put on the brakes, but is quick off the mark in realising what an asset Roy is. You’d think David would have learned the lesson ‘more haste, less speed’, but he’s always on the go these days. Still, his feelings of guilt are going nowhere fast.

Slow down, sit down and tune in. It’s full speed ahead… It’s The Archers!

Elizabeth has an idea on Wednesday that could cause a stir, and Kathy lets off some steam on Friday – don’t miss it!

Tasters 20-25th March 2011

While Elizabeth makes a rapid recovery from her operation, we wonder who else is on the mend in Ambridge this week…

Roy comes to the rescue at Lower Loxley, bringing with him great ideas that could help restore the struggling business. Meanwhile, Lewis has to make amends after a few harsh words with Freddie.

Kenton seems to be rapidly healing Jolene’s broken heart - even punters at The Bull are noticing her renewed vim and vigour - but could there be a casualty to their contentment? Will Jamie mend his rebellious ways, or is this too bitter a pill to swallow. They say what can’t be cured must be endured, but hasn’t Jamie had enough?

Hunger Pains

Eddie and Joe suffer a severe case of malnutrition having missed their weekly roast dinner. Concocting a plan to ease their hunger pains they go for kill or cure; it looks like they’ll never mend their ways. Meanwhile, David and Ruth struggle with the health of the Brookfield herd. The escalating tension will do little to patch up the gaping holes in their relationship and Ruth is still nursing her grudge.

Still, it’s just what the doctor ordered… It’s The Archers!

Tasters 13-18th March 2011

With Eddie’s birthday fast approaching, the Grundys get ready for a flutter at the racecourse…

Having got hearts racing last Friday, Elizabeth is now in no hurry to make big decisions. David thinks an operation is her best bet, but Elizabeth doesn’t want to fall at the last hurdle. Will she, won’t she? The odds are good but the stakes are high.

Jolene seems to be well and truly back in the saddle and the going looks good, although she may have a few obstacles to clear yet... There’s always the possibility of interference and Jolene doesn’t like the idea of being judged.

Away from the racecourse, the Grundys take another gamble this week, hedging their bets on the Snells in the hope of satisfying their appetites. They’ll need to set quick pace if Clarrie finds out what they’ve been up to... It’s The Archers!

Can Eddie win by a nose, or will it be a walkover? Tune in on Tuesday to find out! Plus, news spreads on Thursday…

A mended heart?
Tuesday:
Hedge your bets
Wednesday: Caught in a trap
Thursday: An unwelcome surprise

Under orders: David and Ruth face a race against time

Tasters 6-11th March 2011

With Shrove Tuesday round the corner, it’s feast or famine in Ambridge this week…

While Kenton gets flipping pancakes over at The Bull, will Fallon be flipping mad when she finds out about him and Jolene? Jolene just wants to turn over a new leaf, but perhaps she should consider giving up men for Lent?

Far from using up milk at Brookfield, David trashed last week’s batch and this week spots a poorly looking cow; at this rate Lent could feel very long indeed. Will David give up his attempt to single-handedly save Lower Loxley, or will Ruth give up the hope that he’ll come home? Meanwhile, at Lower Loxley, an emotionally fraught Freddie flips out, and his mum isn’t far behind…

Thanks to Clarrie, the Grundy’s face a frugal Lent, so they make the most of the Shrove Tuesday feast. If their appetite for gambling is anything like their taste for food, they’d better watch out next week! And finally, sensing a rotten egg on the board, Brian plans to starve Matt of information. He’s determined to winkle out Matt’s mole and leave him with egg on his face!... It’s The Archers!

Trouble brews on Wednesday and drama unfolds on Friday!

Sunday: Exertion
Monday: Evaluation
Tuesday: Enterprise
Wednesday: Endeavour
Thursday: Entrapment
Friday: Emergency

Crying over spilt milk: Ruth, David, Freddie
Putting all their eggs in one basket: Jolene, Helen
