26 movingTasters for 24-29th June 2012

We all know Ambridge is a dynamic little village, and everyone’s on the move this week…

While Hayley looks forward to welcoming young Phoebe back to the fold, Ruth is desperate to move on. Her anxiety has moved up a gear, but David’s going nowhere. He’s prepared to move heaven and earth to get Adam’s attackers sent down.

Move along!

Meanwhile, Natalie is making her move in an effort to change the cricket team. Is Alistair a stick-in-the-mud, or will he move with the times? If faith can move mountains, surely Natalie can get the Ambridge girls playing cricket!

Elsewhere, Vicky moves Brenda to tears… of rage not sorrow! Lynda’s on the move, searching Ambridge for gruesome gardening transgressions. Adam’s health is on the up, while Brian may be going down in the world. Don’t you go anywhere… it’s 7:02pm, it’s time for The Archers!

Fisticuffs on Monday, an ultimatum on Wednesday and harsh words on Friday…

Sunday: Hayley feels homely
Monday: Vicky has a vision

Tuesday: Brian looks for backup
Wednesday: Mrs. Grundy grumbles

Thursday: Ruth tells the truth
Friday: The Bull’s in bloom

Making a move: Ruth
Not moving a muscle:
 David

Tasters for 17th-22nd June 2012

As the heavens open it looks as though drought is well and truly over, but will our favourite Ambridge folk weather the storm?...

They say it never rains but it pours, and if they were talking about Brookfield they’d be right! While David attempts to tread water and maintain the status quo, Ruth feels herself getting swept away on a rising tide of panic. Can the Archers survive the deluge, or will the torrent prove too strong? Only time will tell, and in the meantime, there’s Open Farm Sunday to contend with!

Right as rain

Elsewhere, Darrell could find himself in deep water - but then what do you expect working for Matt Crawford who is one slippery customer! Adam insists he’s right as rain and is desperate to make hay while the sun shines, but his pallor would suggest otherwise. Amy thinks the sun rises and sets on Carl but, knowing her judgement is clouded, Alice tries to blow her illusions away. It looks like Kenton and Jolene may have to take a rain check on their dream trip to New Zealand. Hot on the heels of the Jubilee, Lynda and Kenton get planning for the fete – let’s hope it doesn’t rain on their parade! Come rain or shine it’s…. The Archers!

Join the crowds at Brookfield on Sunday and learn a thing or two about good farming practice! Tune in on Tuesday when Amy learns the truth…

Sunday: Farming Sunday goes with a bang
Monday: Darrell keeps schtum
Tuesday: Brian’s bothered
Wednesday: Jill grants a favour
Thursday: Amy sees the light
Friday: Ian changes his tune

A break in the clouds: Amy
Right as rain:
 Usha

24 supermanTasters for 10-15th June 2012

As our favourite village folk face the ups and downs of life in Ambridge this week, they summon superpowers to get them through…

The Archers of Brookfield are doing their best to be brave under taxing circumstances. While Ruth wavers, David is made of steel, prepared to stand up for the victims of this world. Like Superman, he’s determined to show those baddies a thing or two, setting a fine example for the younger generation…

Meanwhile, superwoman Alice runs to Amy’s rescue once again this week. It’s hard work, but she’s determined to do her duty and restore her friend to the girls she once was. As far as Usha can see, she’ll need some pretty hefty duty superpowers to pull it off!

Elsewhere, Lynda recovers from her unnerving bout of x-ray vision. She has learned the valuable lesson that some things in life are best left unseen, but it’s hard to shake the image from her mind. Our unsung hero Darrell finally gets some praise from Lex Luther, I mean Matt. Ifty has worked a superhuman transformation of the cricket team, while Adam can’t wait for his powers to be restored. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No it’s…. The Archers!

Hear Tracy work her magic and try your hand at the single wicket on Sunday!

Sunday: Kenton’s king of the pitch
Monday: David digs in his heels
Tuesday: William meets a witness
Wednesday: Alice to the rescue
Thursday: Unhappy news for Neil
Friday: Cross words with Chris

Superman: Ifty
Super annoyed: Chris

23 Jubilee

Tasters for 3rd-8th June 2012

As we all enjoy the long Jubilee weekend, Ambridge gets ready for a right royal knees up and more besides!

They say an Englishman’s home is his castle, and David is prepared to defend his at all costs: there’s more security at Brookfield that at Buckingham Palace! Usually as cocky as the king of spades, even Ben has the wind knocked out of him this week. David faces a dilemma, but remains determined to protect his family, which is more valuable to him than the crown jewels.

A cat can look at a king

Meanwhile, having found her Prince Charming, Amy refuses to step down from her ivory tower and face the brambles below. Alice tries to bring her back to reality but, entrenched in her fantasyland, Amy refuses to let go of her fairytale relationship (and ‘wicked stepmother’), opting instead to build castles in the air…

Elsewhere in Ambridge… Oliver has a battle royal on his hands as he tries to convince farmers that badger vaccination is the way forward – the fact it’ll cost a king’s ransom does little to help his cause. Ifty may not be king of a castle, but he’s certainly king of the cricket pitch, although he may upset one or two of his subjects… and Clarrie makes a cake fit for a queen… Celebrate a magnificent British icon this weekend… It’s The Archers!

Tempers fly on Thursday and there’s not one, but two, shocking discoveries on Friday!

Sunday: A jubilant Jubilee for Joe
Monday: A bad mood for Brenda
Tuesday: A wake-up call for Amy?
Wednesday: An obstacle for Oliver
Thursday: An argument for Adam
Friday: A surprising wildlife spot for Lynda

A real gem: Pip
The jewel in the crown: Clarrie
