Charlotte was born in Fontainebleau near Paris where her father was working at NATO Headquarters, and she grew up in Solihull near Birmingham. At the age of three she went to dancing school playing the lead in Babooshka when she was only nine years old and appearing in nearly every school production thereafter. She trained at Birmingham Theatre School and her first professional role was at the Birmingham Rep in The Importance of Being Earnest. Soon afterwards Charlotte joined the Archers team playing Susan Carter while enjoying a broader radio career in plays such as Lark Rise to Candleford, The Golden Ass, and The Brothers Karamazov. Television credits include Crossroads, Boon, Howard’s Way and A Very Peculiar Practice as well as featuring in a UB40 pop video. Charlotte now lives in Birmingham with her husband and two daughters.
